eFax Messenger makes it easy to send faxes
With eFax Messenger fax software it's easy to save, view and edit faxes from any computer. For free with eFax Plus or eFax Pro, you can use eFax Messenger to create and send faxes, which will incorporate your text notes, the parts of the text you want to highlight, and a stamp with your signature.
Some of the new features of eFax Messenger are:
  • Converting .efx documents to PDF.
  • Print faxes and logs from the fax composition screen and from the sent and draft folders.
How to install eFax Messenger
  1.  If you don’t already have an eFax account, sign up for an eFax account. .
  2.  Choose the version of eFax Messenger that is most suitable for your operating system.
  3.  Click on the download link.
  4.  Save the file to your computer.
  5.  Double-click the file and follow the instructions on the screen to install eFax Messenger.
  6.  To start the program, click the eFax Messenger icon located in the Programs folder (Windows operating systems)

Technical Requirements and Installation Instructions for eFax Messenger

Note: Most home computers are configured to allow software installation (users have system administrator rights). However, some company computers are configured so that users cannot install software without permission from their company (users do not have administrative rights). If you are a business user and do not have permission to install Messenger, contact your system administrator or IT department.
Download and installation instructions
Click on the download link and do one of the following:
  • To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from the Internet.
  • If you want to copy the download (the setup program) to your computer to install at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
  • If you have chosen to save the installation program to your computer, double-click the downloaded .exe file to start the installation.
  • Click Next to start installing Messenger. To perform an automatic installation, click the Install button.
  • If you want to choose a different installation location and language preferences, click the Advanced Installation button.
  • Click Finish.
Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to enter your eFax number and PIN (Personal Identification Number) in order to use all of Messenger’s features.
Other technical notes
System Boot
If you don’t want Messenger to start every time your computer starts, go to the Start menu > Programs > Startup. Right-click the eFax tray icon and click Delete.
Note: Do not remove eFax DllCmd 4.0. If you remove this file from the start menu, you will not be able to fax documents from other applications. file associations
The only file types that automatically open in Messenger are the .EFX and .JFX file formats, which are exclusive to j2. If you want other file types to open automatically in Messenger, for example TIF or JPEG files, you must change the File Associations through Windows. For more information on this, see the help section of Microsoft Windows.
