A replacement of fax as a communication method would require a total overhaul of healthcare document transmission processes \u2014 a significant undertaking.<\/p><p>Hancock is right. The technological weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the physical fax machine need to be removed, but the fax as a communication method cannot simply be made redundant as a result.
